Dresscode

Wear what makes you feel pretty and comfortable! If it’s already in your wardrobe, perfect! If you feel like shopping for something new, here's a good reason to!

Some advice: The setting for the wedding is rustic in the countryside. The ceremony will be held outside by the lake, the dinner and dance will be held inside the barn. Between the two there is a short walk (~400m) on gravel and through a pasture, there and back again. The flooring inside the barn is made up of quite rough wooden planks. Therefore, we strongly advise against wearing your favourite pair of stilettos and most fancy attire. Remember to bring a cardigan or jacket in case it gets a bit cold in the early hours and maybe your swimsuit should you feel like a late night / early morning dip.

The bus

As there is no public transport to or from Bjädesjö we have organized a chartered bus that will take you to the wedding location in time for the ceremony and back again in the night. The bus will drive along the approximate route shown on the map and should take around 20 minutes. If your stay is not along this route, and you would still like to be picked up by the bus, please contact us! The exact schedule for the bus both there and back will be sent out later.

See and do in the area

As we mentioned before, lots of people come to the Småland Highlands to spend their holiday. If you also want to stay a bit longer and explore, here are some recommendations on where to go:

Visit the old town of Eksjö.

Explore the old mines of Hörnebo Skiffergruva (entrance is free!) or the mazelike Kleva Gruva.

Spend time in beautiful nature in Skurugata or around lake Åsnen.

Relive your childhood dreams at High Chaparal or Astrid Lindgrens Värld.

Drive around the winding roads and take a turn whenever you see a sign that says "loppis".

Gifts

Children and pets

Children are welcome, should you wish to bring them. Just please let us know beforehand and remember to also RSVP for your child through the form.

We love your pets, but they have to stay home today as it might be a little too exciting for them.
